ABOUT THE MUSEUM
The Graveface Museum is an informative and immersive glimpse into the human condition through actual artifacts and decades worth of research on topics ranging from true crime, cults, sideshow history, 1950s roadside attractions, secret societies, and the occult. If you are interested in these topics and open to learning new things you are guaranteed to walk away with knowledge, stories, and experiences you can’t find elsewhere.
The museum is home to the largest collection of John Wayne Gacy artwork and personal effects, as well as the largest collection of artifacts from the Ed Gein case on public display. Our goal is to educate those who strive for a deeper understanding of these very specific parts of history. This museum is a safe place for everyone/anyone who is curious to objectively learn about these events, people, and aspects of humanity that too often get glossed over, shrouded in misinformation or sensationalization which often arises with these subjects.
Free play horror-themed pinball/arcade room included with admission as a perfect palette cleanser after deep diving into some of these dark parts of humanity.
The museum is mostly self-guided but there are two portions of the museum that are guided with a brief 5-10 minute tour conducted by staff members who can answer questions that arise during your visit.

Museum Rules & Guidelines
Please be respectful; we strive to create a welcoming, safe, and pleasant environment (despite some of the unpleasant topics covered) for everyone so please respect the space and fellow visitors. We exhibit original, one-of-a-kind artifacts that come with some incredible history— please don’t touch the non-interactive exhibits or pet the adorable taxidermy. Same rules apply to kiddos.
We reserve the right to refuse entrance to anyone who is intoxicated and/or may be a risk to the artifacts within the museum, other visitors, or themselves.
Absolutely no vaping/smoking inside. No food or drinks (other than bottled H20) are allowed inside the museum, they may be disposed of before entry or held in the gift shop and returned when you finish your tour. Twist-top water bottles are encouraged and sold in the gift shop if you’re thirsty.
We don’t allow large backpacks, tote bags, or oversized purses within the museum and you may be asked to leave your bag behind the counter. If possible, please leave your oversized bags at home or your hotel.

Photography is welcome and encouraged! We swap out exhibits frequently and there’s a lot to see so if you want to photograph anything during your visit that’s cool with us.
Video cameras are also acceptable as long as your filming does not interfere with our guides doing their jobs or guests enjoying their experience. If you’re asked to stop filming at any point (someone might not want to be on film) please comply. Please do not ask to interview staff on camera while they’re working; if you’re a journalist and want to speak with us please reach out on our contact page: https://gravefacemuseum.com/contact

This is completely up to you as a parent. We cover some heavy topics and some imagery within the museum may be disturbing but a lot of the more mature topics can be circumvented pretty easily.
Our Ed Gein exhibit on the first floor is considered the most explicit and mature; it is strongly not recommended for children/up to parental discretion. The Ed Gein exhibit is not accessible to anyone without being guided by a staff member so your kiddo won’t likely just stumble in there and if you want to avoid it you can easily.
We've had a range of all ages inside the museum and we pride ourselves on being an objective place to learn about these dark topics; we’re not trying to scare anyone.
That being said, any child in the museum is expected to conduct themselves like everyone else. Interrupting the tour guides, touching exhibits, running, or otherwise being disruptive to other visitors won't be tolerated and you may be asked to leave until your child can regain their composure.
