It’s mostly self guided so you can spend as little or as long as you want.
We recommending budgeting an 1 to 1.5 h to comfortably walk through.
The first room and Gacy exhibit are semi guided; all guests enter those areas with a docent who will fill you in on the items/exhibits before letting you roam at your own pace.

Nope, they are available at the door as well and there’s no difference to us.
We also offer general admission discounts for students, seniors (65+), and locals (with valid Carroll County ID). Discounts are only available for in-person purchase.

We leave that up to parental discretion. Our goal is to be educational, not shocking but the topics we explore in the museum may be too mature or heavy for some.
That being said, any child in the museum is expected to conduct themselves like everyone else. Interrupting the tour guides, touching exhibits, running, or otherwise being disruptive to other visitors won't be tolerated and you may be asked to leave until your child can regain their composure. Refunds will not be given if admission is revoked.
Imagery wise, there are some black and white mob crime scene photos (high up and easy enough to avoid), but largely we explore true crime through personal effects, letters, and original death row artwork; not crime scene photos.
-
Photos and videos are welcome in the museum so long as it doesn’t interfere with our day-to-day operation or disrupt other guests’ experience. If a staff member asks to not be filmed or photographed please respect their request.

We are located at 53 N Main St., Lower Level. There is a stairway down to our main entrance, just look for the neon pink devil face. (next to the Boodega and Haunted Grounds Coffee)
There is ample street parking and lots surrounding the building, we don’t have a designated parking lot.
